There is a good chance to find a hospital along the Ohenro route. But in the suburbs and mountains the chance is very small.
If you don’t feel well please try to look for a hospital and receive treatment or give up Ohenro all together.

In the city there are many. In the country side, along the Ohenro route, practically none.
I(writer) used to look for one on the map a day earlier and if none I would buy food at a convenient store or a supermarket and eat it on the bench.

If you can’t find a non-allergic dish on the menu you should ask the waiter/waitress.
You may write in Japanese on a paper and carry the paper with you. On the top of the paper you write
「私は以下の食べ物のアレルギーがあります。これらが入って
いないものを教えてください」
(I am allergic to the following foods. Please let me know the meal without them.)
You show the paper to the service person.

Not always the case. Should ask at the shop.
Udon soup is made from fish and so a Muslem can’t have udon. For the same reason a Muslem can’t have soba.

So far as we know there is none in Shikoku.

Is it easy to get the drinking water?
|
In most places you easily find the vending machines. In some places, however, it is not the case. On the way to the 24th fudasho Hotsumisakiji-temple there is no vending machine, no house and no shop for about 3 hours, about 12km in distance.
